DESCRIPTION:
APW - Hamilton, "A.N. Anderson, Standard Time" marked fancy dial, Grade 926, 17J, 18S, silver-filled (silver exterior over a nickel core) OF "Century" swingout recase with gold inlaid locomotive detail to rear, white and yellow enamel SS fancy dial with blue signature and seconds-register markings, gold foil numerals against yellow backgrounds within gold foil surrounds, gold foil minute markers, and gold foil decorations, fancy gilt Louis XV style hands with blue enameled voids, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#172970. A particularly attractive fancy Hamilton dial.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered micro-fine scratches; dial with hl below seconds-register near 6, light hl above seconds-register, small edge flaking under bezel at 8; excellent hands, minute with some bends to tip; case shows medium wear, some scattered scratches, dings and nicks, reduced engraving detail; nickel replacement bow pivots freely and has some play within larger pendant sockets, crown shows ample wear and gives resistance at times to snapping back down to its lower position after case is closed; good glass crystal.
